Breaking News - Formula Racing takes a podium on the teams debut in the FSR World Series PRO!
Robert Fakes of England makes a stunning debut for the team in FSR PRO series with a fantastic 2nd place finish. Running at the front of the race for the whole race distance Rob led the race and was close to taking a win in the teams first race in FSR. With a fantastic qualifying run Rob qualified 3rd on the grid taking just one run to conserve fuel. A great start was hampered by another driver and put Rob back down to 6th place, undetered the FRO driver battled back throughout the race to claim a fantastic podium for the team and earn a great points haul for the drivers title. Phil Robers driving the number 22 FRO car had a troubled qualifying session and lined up on 22nd place on the grid. A stunning start and hard battling saw Phil climb into the top 10 by the end of lap 1 a hard race for Phil through to 7th place in the closing laps was curtailed by a blown engine just 1 lap from the finish of the 58 laps race.
Overall, the FRO drivers and team where happy with the start to the PRO season and are allready looking forward to the next race in Malaysia. Full race reports and drivers comments to follow. |

Team Formula Racing's new 2009 F1 car rolled out of the teams workshops yesterday for its maiden shakedown test yesterday at Monza in Italy. Driven here by Rudy Van Buren, the Dutch World Championship driver took the wheel of the new car for its first laps and was delighted with the look and feel of the new car. Also taking the wheel yesterday was Phil Roberts of England, the teams World Series PRO driver and also pleased with the new design. |
